Procedure for Public to Contact Natural Gas Group

According to Natural Gas Group spokesman Mark Belliveau, the names, positions and contact information for members of the Natural Gas Group, the provincial steering committee overseeing the shale gas industry in New Brunswick, will not be disseminated in any publication. Nor will a Natural Gas Group general contact be set up for the public.

Belliveau explained if a member of the public has a technical question involving the environment, energy or natural resource aspects of shale gas in New Brunswick, contact the specific department or email the individual, whether that be the minister, deputy minister, etc., and that will be passed on to the Natural Gas Group. The group will consult its experts for the answer. The answer will then be passed back to the department or individual, and the member of the public making the inquiry will be notified.

The Natural Gas Group was formed by the province to manage and regulate the shale gas industry in the province. Its staffed by a wide range of experts including, the ministers and deputy ministers of Environment, Energy and Natural Resources, environmental policy analysts from the Departments of Energy and Environment, a hydrogeologist, a rural planner, a mining engineer and a geologist from the Department of Natural Resources, a chartered accountant from Business New Brunswick, and two PR specialists from Communications New Brunswick. The group is headed by a member of the Executive Council Office.

  1. So where is the drilling expert, seismic expert, fracing expert, pipeline expert, chemical expert, water treatment expert, etc? Just because they hold a govermnent position doesnt make them expert in any part of the oil and gas industry. The only expertise they have is in Propoganda or Public Relations which means the same thing, which the words we're invited by Edward Berneys, the nephew of Sigmond Freud. PR and Propoganda mean the same thing, this is the shale gase's groups expertise.
