Where's the Premier? Gone Fishing

After learning the Legislature closed for the summer today, The Purple Violet Press took a casual look at the Premier's website to see what may be on his itinerary in the upcoming weeks. But the itinerary link couldn't be found. We wondered if it was just due to the fact the session had wound down, or if it's gone completely. Inquiries were made, but it being a Friday afternoon, we received no response.

However, we did find out where the Premier is currently located. Sources say he's fishing at the Clearwater camps on the Southwest Miramichi, north of Holtville. Spotted yesterday, it seems things are well enough in hand at the office that a little vacation was in order for the province's head executive.

Coincidentally, a local who happened upon the Premier onshore had also attended the shale gas information session earlier in the week at Boiestown. Mentioning this to Alward, the Premier responded by asking whether anyone from  government attended. The local made Alward aware that no administration officials appeared at the meeting and then continued on, leaving the Premier to his fishing.
