RCMP release video of suspects in armed robbery, Zealand, N.B.

The RCMP has released surveillance video taken from a robbery at a convenience store in Zealand, N.B. on January 18, 2012. The video shows two men assaulting the store owner. The owner was later taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released from hospital.
The suspects were both wearing snowmobile suits. The man holding the gun in the video appears to be approximately five feet and five inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. The second man with the baseball bat appears to be about six feet tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds. Both men spoke English.
The Zealand robbery took place at around 9:30 p.m., approximately 90 minutes after a similar robbery at Estey's General Store in Millville, N.B. While initially reported that the men may have been travelling on snowmobile, that has not been confirmed and they could have been using another mode of transportation.
The RCMP is continuing to follow up on a number of public tips. At this point of the investigation, there have been no arrests.
